Welcome 7th graders and welcome back 8th graders to 7/8 Language Arts!

As a long term substitute in this position last year I am looking forward my first official year at BCS! Prior to BCS my eight years of education experience include teaching language arts, math, and science at the middle school level, English at the high school level, and math at the community college level.

After graduating from Troy High School in 2003, I attended Albion College, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in English and an elementary education endorsement. I then continued my education at North Carolina State University, earning a Masters Degree in School Administration.

In my free time I am typically relaxing by the water, attending concerts, and volunteering in the community. I also enjoy staying active playing and coaching soccer, snowboarding, and running. As a lifelong learner I embrace opportunities to learn from my students and hope to inspire my students to become confident, lifelong learners themselves.
